Stay Focused & Reach Your Goals With Affirmations

Happy Fri-yayyyy Fam!

You have officially made it through the first full week of the New Decade, how’d it go?

Did you hit the start button for the goals that you have?

Did you make it to the gym to start that workout?

Did you meal prep this week so you can stay committed to eating clean?

Did you start that business you’ve been putting on hold, so you can see a shift in your income this year?

Whether you’ve answered yes or no above, I want to help you create Affirmation Statements so that you can begin making declarations over your life and over your goals.

Affirmations are reminders to your unconscious mind to stay focused on your goals and to come up with solutions to challenges and obstacles that might get in the way.

Whether you know it or not, you are always using affirmations… but usually not ones that will bring you what you want.

You might be saying things like:

  • “I’m always so tired!”

  • “I never have any money!”

  • “No matter what I do, I just can’t get ahead!”

  • “No one will ever take me seriously!”

Or any other form of negative statement, then it’s time for a shift!

It’s time to Erase and Replace those negative affirmations with Positive ones.

The daily use of positive affirmations interrupts and eventually replaces the barrage of negative thoughts and beliefs. To achieve this, you must continually flood your subconscious with thoughts and images of the new reality you wish to create:

Here are the eight guidelines for creating effective affirming statements. You may want to write these down.  They are from the book The Success Principles.

  1. Start with the words “I am.” These are the two most powerful words in the English language.

  2. Use the present tense.

  3. State it in the positive. Affirm what you want, not what you don’t want.

  4. Keep it brief.

  5. Make it specific.

  6. Include an action word ending with –ing.

  7. Include at least one dynamic emotion or feeling word.

  8. Make affirmations for yourself, not others.

Here are some examples of how your affirmations should flow:

“I am so happy and grateful that I am now earning $100,000 a year.”

“I am so happy and grateful that I have now achieved my ideal weight of 150 pounds.”

“I am so happy and grateful that I have now married the love of my life, who is my best friend.  He treats me like his queen and He is also so grateful to call me His wife!”

If you want a shift to turning your desires into your reality, then it’s time to Erase and Replace your words with these newfound affirmations.

Take the time today to write out 3 affirmations that represent what you want to accomplish this year, and commit to putting them on sticky notes all over your house to rehearse them daily!

Be sure to come back and share how this shift, transforms your life!

Comment below with your affirmations, I’d love to hear!
